TrailBlazer is a small enterprise designing, manufacturing and distributing barbeque trailers. These trailers are designed to be used for one off events where some cooking is required.
The company is run by two brothers and employs two staff and a graduate on placement. Currently the trailers are built to order and they are exported around the world.
All drawings are hand drawn and then outsourced to be digitalised. The directors now wants to develop the company and install a Computer Aided Design software package to produce all drawings in house.
The government provides the INNOVATE-US program for funding this project and SERC provides the expertise to find a suitable software package, train staff and implement the software in house.
This project allows the company to amend drawings much quicker and respond to customer demand very quickly and efficiently. It also reduces cost in respect of human error, stock cost and implementation of design changes.
